With a fleet of over 27 late model concrete mixers, 5 dump trucks, 3 pump trucks, 5 permanent concrete batch plants and high volume Con-E-Co portable concrete plants, there are few jobs in the region we are not capable of servicing. We regularly pour concrete used in highway projects, dams, and windmills as wells as industrial, commercial, and residential buildings.

Our equipment is kept in top working condition to insure timely delivery of our sand, gravel, and concrete. With computerized diagnostic systems in hand, Hood River Sand mechanics service issues ranging from regular maintenance of our various mixers, trucks, loaders, screening plants, and concrete batch plants to performing advanced repairs of drive systems, hydraulics, brakes, air conditioning, and other system critical functions both in house and on site as needs dictate. Technicians receive regular training and keep up-to-date on pertinent issues about equipment from Con-E-Co, Ross, McNeilus, Caterpillar, Komatsu, Link-Belt, Power Screen, Kimble, Mack, Peterbuilt, Kenworth, Cummins, and Detroit.

The company has maintained a full-time quality control expert since 1980 who joined Hood River Sand after 12 years of testing and inspection work for ODOT and the Army Corps of Engineers. Working in an ODOT certified laboratory with certified equipment, Alan is an ODOT and ACI Certified Technician. He oversees a team of trained quality control technicians performing field testing and concrete mix designs as well as aggregate assessments for the company.
